Hello! For our June event I’m excited to partner with two talented women: Photographer Victoria Kovios and Wardrobe by Saki founder Iris Miyasaki. This is a unique event in that it will include a 30-minute styling session pre-event to get you ready and feeling good for the photoshoot! Being a second generation Japanese-American (Nisei) from Hawai'i, Iris’ style and personality is a melting pot of the culture she grew up in and her professional experience in the fashion industry in New York City. She started this business with the goal in mind to merge the Japanese lifestyle of simple and uncluttered with a touch of fun and cool.

At Wardrobe by Saki, she’s combined home organization and fashion styling to bring you a personal approach to updating and elevating your life.

Victoria

Victoria has an innate ability to capture the essence of her subjects—with a particular flair for capitalizing on the feminine duality of the bold and the delicate.

From portraiture to product photography, whether for high fashion magazines or projects for Global and Local brands, Kovios’ work has become recognized for its refined intensity. Skilled in connecting deeply with her environment, her images—bright, earthy, airy, and ethereal—reflect her worldly experiences.

How It Works

Headshots will take about 15 minutes. You’ll sign up for a specific window and your headshot will be within that time frame. You’re welcome to hang out on the first floor before/after your headshot but we ask that you’re only upstairs in the photo shoot “studio” space during your time slot! We’re opening up some “happy hour only” spots which are for women who don’t need a new headshot but want to come network and get to know people - this starts at 5pm.

*Hair and makeup are not included but if you’re interested, let me know by May 15.

*If you’re not available the 9th but really want a headshot, we might be able to book some slots on the 10th - please email Janice directly.

Pre-Event

With support from Iris, please prep your outfit and look! After you book, we will connect you with Iris so you can schedule your styling appointment.

Bring whatever you need to Janice’s house. You can change and finish getting ready onsite, but please bring everything you need to look and feel your best. Plan to arrive a bit early so that you are ready at the start of your timeslot, please.
