Janice Javier began her career in events and marketing management in California wine country, later directing these talents to the nonprofit sector with a focus on cultivating professional and economic mobility for opportunity youth. She currently manages the finances for a category-leading digital books business and holds a leadership role with the board of FareStart, a Seattle-based organization that transforms lives, disrupts poverty and nourishes communities through food, life skills and job training.
In addition to these pursuits, Janice loves to gather, connect and energize people in ways that lead to new friendships and collaborations, especially in pursuit of women's rights and empowerment. When she's not crafting and corresponding from her dining room table, you can often find her around the neighborhood, playing with her dog Ruby, exploring Seattle's new restaurants and frequenting Pacific Northwest Ballet.
Janice holds degrees from the University of California, Berkeley (BS, chemical biology) and the Foster School of Business (MBA, finance) and remains active as an alumna, mentoring emerging leaders.
